Louise Harkin is a Solicitor at Kearney Law Group, specialising in medical negligence claims, with particular expertise in women’s health, birth injury, obstetric and paediatric negligence. Louise graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a 2:1 in Law and Criminal Justice in 2023. She qualified as a solicitor via the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route in November 2025, following the completion of her qualifying work experience at Kearney Law Group. She was admitted as a Solicitor in Northern Ireland in January 2026 and subsequently admitted as a Solicitor in the Republic of Ireland in February 2026, enabling her to assist clients seamlessly across both jurisdictions.
Louise has developed strong expertise in handling medical negligence matters from initial instruction through to resolution. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, her ability to build trust with clients, and her dedication to achieving positive outcomes for individuals affected by lapses in medical care.

Cassy graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2023 with a Bachelor of Laws degree and has since built three years of experience in personal injury law. She first joined Kearney Law Solicitors in 2023 as a paralegal, handling a wide range of personal injury and medical negligence claims, developing a strong, client‑focused approach to legal practice.
Cassy subsequently spent a year in Perth Australia, working with a national personal injury firm, where she broadened her expertise, gaining valuable exposure to complex litigation and high- value cases.
In December 2025, Cassy returned to Kearney Law Group as a Trainee Solicitor. She is currently completing her qualifying work experience alongside the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE), with expected qualification as a Solicitor in March 2027.
Cassy works across both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland jurisdictions, managing claims that demand a specialised understanding of cross‑border procedures and legislation. Under the guidance of Principal Solicitor Paul Kearney, she handles a range of personal injury and medical negligence claims with specific expertise dealing with child injury matters and High Court cases.

Rebecca is currently training via the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) route and is undertaking her solicitor training alongside her work at the firm, with expected qualification in 2027. She has particular experience in Republic of Ireland litigation, including the preparation, submission and management of Injuries Resolution Board claims. This cross‑jurisdictional insight allows her to assist clients navigating differing procedures, evidential requirements and time limits across both legal systems.
Since joining Kearney Law Group, Rebecca has worked closely under the supervision of senior solicitors, contributing to personal injury, medical negligence and related civil claims. Megan Parke is a Senior Paralegal at Kearney Law Group and has been part of the firm since it first opened its doors in 2019. As one of the practice’s longest‑standing team members, Megan brings extensive experience, commitment and continuity to the firm’s legal services.

John graduated with an LLB from Queen’s University Belfast in July 2023 before completing a Master’s in International Human Rights in December 2024. Joining Kearney Law in November 2025, he has quickly become a valued part of the team, known for an approachable manner, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate challenging circumstances.
With plans to begin the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route this year, John is continuing to expand his legal training while contributing meaningfully to the firm’s growing personal injury department.

Chris McCay holds a degree in Law and French Law and a Master’s in Law from Trinity College Dublin and the University of Oxford. Chris also spent a year at the University of Toulouse in France, where he specialised in European Union Law.
He has previously worked as a legal trainee at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, where he specialised in European tax treaties and cross border fiscal issues. He also has worked as a caseworker for the Innocence Project, assisting with the review of claims relating to alleged wrongful convictions.
He currently works as a paralegal at Kearney Law Group, where he focuses on personal injury litigation. His work focuses on claims arising from road traffic accidents, workplace accidents and public liability incidents.
Chris has gained professional experience across Chicago, London, Luxembourg and Dublin, giving him exposure to a range of legal systems and international legal practices. Chris strives to go above and beyond for all his clients to ensure they get the best representation possible.

Michael Pritchard is an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal specialising in Road Traffic Accidents (RTA), Public Liability, and Employer Liability across both pre‑litigation and litigated cases. Originally from Wales, Michael graduated from Liverpool John Moore's University with an LLB Law degree, achieving a 2:1. During his studies, he volunteered in the university’s Legal Advice Clinic, providing free legal guidance to those in need — an experience that deepened his commitment to client‑focused service and accessible justice.
Michael began his career in Liverpool as an RTA Paralegal, managing a high volume of motor claims and building extensive technical expertise in every stage of the claims process. He later broadened his practice to include medical negligence matters and cases spanning both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Catherine graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Podiatry before beginning her professional career as a podiatrist in Belfast. Her experience within clinical environments gives her a strong understanding of medical processes, terminology and patient care—knowledge that enhances her support to the firm’s medical negligence team.
Following her time in Belfast, Catherine moved to Sydney, where she worked in recruitment. During this period, she developed valuable skills in team coordination, office management and client engagement, all of which influence her work in the firm today.
Catherine returned home to Derry and joined Kearney Law Group in 2020. Since then, she has become an integral part of the practice, overseeing administrative operations, managing accounts and book‑keeping functions, and providing essential support in the preparation and handling of medical documentation.

Ríona Kearney is a Legal Secretary at Kearney Law Group, providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice. Ríona graduated from Liverpool Hope University with a Bachelor’s degree in 3D Design before completing a PGCE in Secondary School Art at Manchester Metropolitan University. Ríona later moved to Australia, continuing her teaching career for several years and gaining further experience working with diverse school communities. After returning home to Derry, she taught in local secondary schools before transitioning into the legal sector.
